About us

School governance

The governors of Mayesbrook Park School are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds, and bring a variety of skills and experiences to the role from within and outside the sphere of education.

We aim to be representative of all the key stakeholders in the school, and include parents, staff, and members of the borough council and of the wider community among our number.

As the Management Committee, we are part of the leadership and management structure of the school, and we hold the Head of Service and the Senior Leadership Team to account regarding the development and day-to-day operation of the school.

We participate in school events and act as ambassadors for the school by communicating with parents, other stakeholders and the wider community, and using our own resources to enhance the opportunities available to the young people we work with.

We also participate in rigorous induction and ongoing training as part of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham School Improvement Partnership.
