Charging and remissions

At Mayesbrook Park School, we recognise the valuable contribution that providing a wide range of additional activities, including visits, clubs and residential experiences, can make towards our students’ education. 

We believe that all our students should have an equal opportunity to benefit from such activities – curricular or extra-curricular, residential or non-residential – regardless of their family’s financial means. We aim to provide a variety of activities at a minimum cost to parents, students and the school, and to ensure that no student will be excluded from these learning opportunities for financial reasons.

Our Charging and Remissions Policy (informed by local authority guidance) sets out clearly which activities the school will charge for, when charges may be waived, and when parents/carers may be asked to make a voluntary contribution.

This policy does not apply to charges made by other organisations offering activities and services on the school premises.
