Bronwyn Jones - my progression from the Erkenwald campus

My name is Bronwyn Jones and I'm 19 years old and an ex Erkenwald campus student. When I was at secondary school I got bullied a lot and so I was moved to the Erkenwald. When I first started I had no self esteem and I didn't think I'd become anyone in life, but the time I spent at the Erkenwald really gave me my confidence back and helped me to get the GCSEs. I never thought I'd be able to achieve and helped me get my place in College.

I'm now studying a level 3 photography course at Barking and Dagenham College, and I help to photograph the footballers at the college academy. I also regularly visit the Oval, home of Surrey County Cricket Club to photograph their cricketers. I have plans to go to University and work towards a bachelor's degree in photography and hope to get a job working for a sports team as a full-time sports photographer.

I'm also learning valuable photoshop skills and have a passion for creating digital art, especially around the theme of sports. In addition to the qualifications I achieved here, I've also gained the people skills I previously lacked. Before I came to Erkenwald I was a shy person who hated talking to people, but now I love to socialise with everyone I meet. I now have contacts in lots of different places, including Italy, as I am now a self-taught speaker of Italian.

I owe all of this to my time at the Erkenwald, without the help of all the teachers here I'd never have been able to achieve any of this, and I'm forever grateful. I regularly post my latest photographs and digital work to my Instagram account @Lupolondinese, which you can check out if you're interested in seeing more of my work.
